Katie's Run (2.5 miles) is on November 28, 2026: Link to Register

Nov. 4, 2026: The Katie Welling Memorial Run/Walk is a wonderful community event that honors Katie Welling, a 2002 BHS graduate who died in an off-campus fire at Miami University in Ohio. Katie had just turned 21. The Run/Walk commemorates Katie's wonderful sense of humor, her infectious laugh, and her love of life.

We also remember Tom Welling, Katie's father who passed away in 2022. Tom led us in planning this special event for fifteen years. Tom was an incredible friend and asset to the Bronxville community, as well as a former board member of the Bronxville School Foundation.

Katie's Run/Walk is a 2.5 mile race. The event will be in person on Saturday, November 28. Participants will meet in front of the Bronxville School. Check-in will open at 8 AM, and the race will start at 9 AM.

If you are not able to attend, you may also participate virtually by running, walking or biking any time from November 15 through 30. Walking or running on a treadmill or riding on a stationary bike at home are also great ways to participate.

The registration fee for the in-person event will be $25 through November 27, and $30 to register the day of the event. There is no registration fee to participate virtually, but a tax-deductible contribution would be welcomed. All proceeds will benefit the Bronxville School Foundation whose mission is to enhance the quality of the education at The Bronxville School where Katie spent so many happy years.
