Oct. 14, 2026: The Bronxville athletic teams were busy over the holiday weekend. On Saturday, the football team won its fourth consecutive game, defeating a strong Tuckahoe team 21-7. On Monday, the field hockey team suffered a tough overtime loss to Class B Ursuline, ending its six-game winning streak.

The Bronxville field hockey team has had an impressive season, posting 11 wins and holding the No. 1 spot in the Class C Section 1 standings. The Broncos, the defending Class C Section 1 Champions, have also been ranked among LoHud's Top 10 teams throughout much of the season and currently sit at No. 10 in the Power Rankings.
Last week, the Broncos extended their winning streak with shutout victories over North Salem and Croton/Hendrick Hudson before facing a tough Class B Ursuline team on Monday.
Against North Salem, Emily Busker scored the game's only goal off an assist from Margaux Lefort, giving Bronxville a 1-0 victory.
The Broncos followed with an 8-0 win over Croton/Hendrick Hudson. Ellie Fahy led the scoring with four goals and one assist, while Corinne Augustyn added two goals. Busker and Alex Orth each scored once, and Lefort contributed two assists and Willa Halley one.
On Monday, the Broncos celebrated Senior Day before taking on Ursuline. Bronxville struck first on a goal by Fahy and held the lead until Ursuline tied the game with eight minutes remaining in regulation. The game went into overtime, where Ursuline scored the winning goal to hand Bronxville a 2-1 loss.
Despite the loss, the Broncos have plenty to celebrate as they head into the final stretch of the regular season.
"Our senior captains, Ellie Fahy, Caroline Cregan, and Maggie Young, play a huge role in our successes," said Bronxville coach Jacquelyn Frawley.
"Forward Ellie Fahy consistently contributes to our goal scoring with her persistence in the circle. Midfielder Caroline Cregan has stepped up to distribute the ball and slow down the opponents' offense. Defender Maggie Young holds down the defensive zone and also is a top contributor on our offensive corner shots," added Frawley.
In addition to the three captains, the Broncos honored seniors Kylie Hilbert, Leila Moore, Alex Orth, and Ryan Sipple at Monday's Senior Day celebration.
The team has also benefited from contributions across all grade levels.
"Junior Corinne Augustyn has been a top scorer at right forward, while senior Kylie Hilbert has played an important role in the midfield," noted Frawley. "Two freshmen, midfielder Margaux Lefort and defender Olivia Murphy, have earned starting positions and made significant contributions throughout the season."
Junior goalkeeper Isabelle Harrison has also stepped into the varsity starting role, helping anchor a defense that has recorded 10 shutouts this season.
Frawley has a long history with the Bronxville field hockey program, having started as the junior varsity coach in 2003 before moving to the varsity level, where she has coached for the past 17 years. Current assistant coach Annie Donado is a former Bronxville player who played under Frawley.

The Broncos will close out their regular season with two challenging games. They face Putnam Valley, currently ranked No. 3 in Class C with an 8-4 record, before taking on Class B John Jay/Cross River on Monday. John Jay/Cross River is currently ranked No. 4 in LoHud's Power Rankings.
As the defending Class C Section 1 Champions, the Broncos are well-positioned for another strong postseason run. They currently hold the No. 1 spot in Class C, followed by Pawling, Putnam Valley, and Pleasantville.

Football
The Broncos have overpowered their opponents in recent weeks, posting three consecutive shutouts against Albertus Magnus (61-0), Dobbs Ferry (28-0), and Valhalla (57-0). But Saturday's matchup against Tuckahoe, the 2025 Class D state runner-up, proved to be a much tougher challenge.
In Saturday’s game at Tuckahoe’s Homecoming, both teams played strong defense in the first half, keeping the game scoreless heading into halftime.

The Tigers broke the tie early in the third quarter when Jacob Rambalski scored on a short run to give Tuckahoe a 7-0 lead.
The Broncos answered later in the quarter. Facing 4th-and-9 from the Tuckahoe 11-yard line, quarterback Theo McMurray connected with James Murphy in the end zone to tie the game at 7-7.
Bronxville took its first lead in the fourth quarter, putting together a scoring drive that ended with a touchdown run by Liam Marcus. The Broncos added one more touchdown when McMurray connected with Grant Patterson on a long pass into the end zone, securing a 21-7 victory over the Tigers.
The Broncos will play their final home game of the season on Saturday against Pleasantville at 2:00 PM. The Panthers enter the game with a 5-1 record, while the Broncos stand at 4-1. Both teams are undefeated in league play, with their only losses coming against top Class B teams from Section 2 in the first week of the season.
Bronxville will close out the regular season on the road against Haldane before the Class C playoffs begin. Saturday’s matchup against Pleasantville will be especially important, as both teams are competing for the top seed in the sectional playoffs.
