May 28, 2014: Does your job search or career change need a leg up, a new direction, or a more effective marketing campaign?
Join the Bronxville Career Network on Wednesday, May 28, for a presentation by Kevin J. Muller, managing entrepreneur at Leggupp.com. The meeting will be held from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at The Reformed Church of Bronxville.
Just as a horse-race trifecta bet pays off well when you back a winning combination, the odds of landing a new job sooner increase when effectively creating and combining documents, according to Muller.
Some key points of the presentation will be:
• Enhance your résumé to strengthen the "above-the-fold" content.
• Create a personal marketing plan to increase networking effectiveness.
• Write a T-style cover letter to round out the "trifecta" of documents.
KJ Muller develops programs assisting professionals to be more effective in the job search. He steers innovative, IT-based initiatives involving Internet and mobile technologies, cloud-hosted architecture, and integration of software as a service.
Muller holds degrees in engineering, finance, and strategic management, and he is currently completing a master's degree in media management. He is also certified in project management and information security, he is a founder of the Westchester Networking Organization (WNO), and he has been a leader of, and presenter for, the EARN ministry at St. Patrick's in Yorktown for more than six years.
Founded four years ago, the Bronxville Career Network is a volunteer-operated group offering networking, career and job search information, and support to job seekers, career changers, and employed people interested in sharing career information or expertise.
It meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Edwards Room of The Reformed Church of Bronxville. A facilitated daytimers group also meets on the first Monday of each month at 9:30 am in the Copenhaver Room.

Bronxville Public Library
The Bronxville Public Library traces its origins back to 1875, when it was a small lending library housed in a room attached to the “Bronxville Model School.” The Library was officially chartered in 1906 and moved into the Village Hall Building. The needs of the library grew with the town and, in 1942, a new standalone building was erected, which is where the Library is today. Over the years, the Library was renovated and expanded to meet the needs of the community.
The Library has wonderful resources for adults and children and offers a comfortable and relaxing environment. The Library also houses a fine art collection, consisting principally of Bronxville painters and sculptors.
The Library offers special events, art exhibitions, and programs for adults, young adults and children. All events are open to the public, unless otherwise indicated.
