Former Bronxville Athletic Director Bill Green to Be Honored

By Linda Pagano, Bronxville School Parent
Dec. 13, 2017: The Bronxville High School Athletic Department and Athletic Council will celebrate and honor former Bronxville athletic director Bill Green with the Annual Bill Green Holiday Tournament this weekend.
Bill Green was a longtime coach of the Bronxville basketball program, coach of JV football, and assistant coach of the varsity football, track, and golf teams. A World War II Navy pilot, Green’s legacy has had a lasting impact on the Bronxville varsity sports program, with a career spanning over twenty-five years and highlights that include a trip to the 1982 quarterfinals of the New York State Basketball Championships and being named league coach of the year twice.
Bill passed away in 2014, but in his memory, we are pleased to have sponsored the Annual Bill Green Holiday Tournament since 1976. Broncos from years past remember that you could always count on Coach Green to wear his trademark red socks to games. Once a Bronco, Always a Bronco!
Bronxville will host the basketball tournament in the main gym with tip-off on Thursday, December 14, at 6:15 pm.
