Dec. 28, 2024: The holiday season is alive with joy and connection at Gramatan Village, as members and local students came together to celebrate with festive events that bridge generations and spread cheer throughout the community.
Cookie Decorating Fun: Gramatan Village welcomed several of its members and eight enthusiastic Bronxville middle school students for a delightful afternoon of cookie decorating. Together, they created delicious treats, shared laughter, and built sweet memories to kick off the season.

Holiday Luncheon at Rosie’s: Thirty-two GV members came together for a festive holiday luncheon at Rosie’s Bistro Italiano, a beloved local favorite known for its warm hospitality and delicious food. Guests enjoyed a holiday meal featuring seasonal favorites, from hearty entrees to delectable desserts, all served with care and cheer. Gramatan Village extends heartfelt thanks to the wonderful team at Rosie’s for creating a welcoming atmosphere and hosting this special gathering, which brought joy, connection, and a true taste of the holiday spirit to all in attendance.
Intergenerational Game Day: The spirit of friendly competition filled the air as Gramatan Village members joined Bronxville elementary school students for a lively game day. Together, they played classic games like Scrabble, Bingo, Sorry, and Connect Four, creating moments of joy and strengthening intergenerational bonds.

Reflecting on the season, Grace Gilmer, Executive Director of Gramatan Village, shared, “The holidays are a perfect reminder of the joy we create when we come together—whether it’s over cookies, a game of Bingo, or a shared meal. Seeing smiles across generations is what makes our community so special. As we step into the new year, we encourage everyone to get involved—whether as a member, volunteer, or donor—and help us continue building a vibrant, connected community.”
From cookie decorating to shared meals and games, Gramatan Village continues its tradition of bringing together people of all ages to celebrate community, connection, and cheer this holiday season.
