Pet of the Week: Lucas
Nov. 6, 2013: Lucas is a beautiful two-year-old springer/spaniel mix with gorgeous markings, expressive eyes, and a sweet disposition.
He is a good boy but is still very much a puppy who needs exercise and work on basic manners. He's smart and eager to learn and is doing extremely well with his housebreaking and leash walking.
Lucas is a perfect gentleman in the car and sleeps through the night. He lives to play fetch and will keep a ball nearby, if not in his mouth, at all times just in case you are up for playing ball with him.
He is a loyal pup and will make someone a great companion and buddy. Because he is still young and excitable, he should probably go to a family with older children. A fenced-in yard for those games of fetch would be ideal, but an active family would work just as well. Lucas would prefer to be the only dog in your home, as he can be picky about who his friends are.
Lucas is a handsome boy who will melt your heart. He is in excellent health, neutered, and up to date with his vaccinations.
