Bronxville, Tuckahoe, Eastchester Newspapers from 1902 to 2007 to Be Digitized

By Linda Laird, Eastchester Town Clerk and Co-Chair, Steering Committee, Eastchester 350th Anniversary, Inc.

Oct. 7, 2015:  In mid-September, Bob Riggs, co-chair of the Eastchester 350th Anniversary steering committee, and Eloise L. Morgan, Bronxville village historian, delivered the first of 114 microfilm reels of old local weekly newspapers to Hudson Archival, a digitizing company in upstate New York.

The project is being funded by grants from Eastchester 350th Anniversary, Inc., and The Bronxville Historical Conservancy. The newspapers will be digitized and made searchable online during the coming year.

The papers, all of which have ceased publication, contain news of Bronxville, Tuckahoe, and Eastchester from 1902 through 2007.
