Ruth Walter, Candidate for County Legislator, Opens Campaign Headquarters in Bronxville on Pondfield Road

By Office of Ruth Walter
Oct. 11, 2017: Ruth Walter, candidate for county legislature in District 15, which includes the greater Bronxville area, opened a new campaign headquarters in Bronxville this week at 105 Pondfield Road, next to the cheese shop.
Voters can drop by and meet the candidate, and volunteers can sign up for a shift in local grassroots politics. Voter registration ballots, lawn signs, and absentee ballots are also available.
Ruth Walter's campaign slogan is "Visible, Accessible and Accountable," and certainly her storefront is in keeping with that. Her opponent, she says, is largely missing from view, and although he has held the position for 12 years, many people don't know his name or record.
"The voters in District 15 need and deserve representatives that listen, learn, and vote in ways that reflect the values of District 15," said Walter. "Local politics affect every aspect of our community, from the parks to the roads to the services that are so vital to our quality of life.
"Although District 15 stretches from Bronxville to Northwestern Yonkers, all voters should demand visible accessible and accountable representatives. I will work as hard in county government as I have worked as a small business owner, current library treasurer, and former court clerk. My values as a mother, wife, and community builder mean that I will show up to work and I will listen to constituents."
