Letter to the Editor: Linda Smith-Shearer in Support of Bill Primps for Bronxville Village Justice

To the Editor:
Mar. 7, 2018: Village elections will be here in less than three weeks. I hope you will join Bob and me and go to the polls Tuesday, March 20, to vote for the candidates and support the generous volunteers who help make our village run so smoothly.
This year there is a contest for village justice between two energetic and capable lawyers, both of whom I know and respect highly. I encourage you to do your research and make sure to vote this year.
Bill Primps has my vote for village justice. I have known Bill since college and can attest to his intelligence, energy, dedication, judicial knowledge, strong work ethic--and just plain good common sense, a requisite for the position.
Having been in the village over 33 years, raised three kids through the school, and served in many different village volunteer capacities, Bill has the experience and balanced judgment we need in our next village justice.
He cares deeply about Bronxville and has supported the restorative justice program that his predecessor, George McKinnis, introduced to Bronxville. This program with the consent of crime victims allows the court to fashion remedies for certain crimes that do not involve prison time--thereby reducing mass incarceration and providing a meaningful way back to society.
Hope to see you at the polls at village hall; thank you for voting!
Linda
