Bronco Bonanza this Week: Boys' Basketball (9-4) to Face Class A Sleepy Hollow Tonight
Written by S. Quinn DeJoy and J. Murrer

Jan. 21, 2015: The Bronco Bonanza, a celebration of Bronxville varsity winter sports, kicks off today with Fan Appreciation Night for the boys' basketball team. The Class B Broncos will go up against Sleepy Hollow.
"Sleepy Hollow, a Class A team, is currently 9-3 and poses a tough matchup for our team," said Coach Brian Senior. "They are an athletic team that shoots the ball very well and are led by a talented point guard."
It could be a challenging game, but the Bronxville team has a lot of talent of its own. Senior co-captain Charlie Tarry, a four-year starter, is leading the scoring with an average of 17 points and six rebounds per game, and sophomore Matt Toal is averaging 9 points and 4.2 assists. Senior co-captain Michael Crawford and seniors Tyler Schultz and Matt Huncke round out the starting lineup for the Broncos.
The team record is 9-4, with losses to Woodlands, a team with a high state ranking, Nyack, a Class A non-league opponent, and two losses to Dobbs Ferry. Because of league realignment, Dobbs, Tuckahoe, and Hastings are not included in Bronxville's league this year.
The Broncos will go up against Edgemont on Friday at 4:15 pm. Bronxville defeated Class B Edgemont 56-46 in its first matchup this season.
The Bronco bonanza activities include many off-site contests in skiing, swimming and diving, squash, and track and field. See the schedule below for a list of events.
