May 19, 2014:  Playoffs began last Saturday for boys' and girls' lacrosse, and both teams came up with solid wins in the first round. The Bronco boys, seeded No. 2 in Class C, overwhelmed Nanuet with a lopsided 14-1 lead at halftime and finished with a final score of 16-1. Top scorers for the Broncos included Matt Behrens (4 goals, 1 assist), Michael Crawford (3 goals, 3 assists), and R.J. Ambrose (3 goals, 3 assists). The boys will play at home against No. 3 Briarcliff on Tuesday at 3:00 pm.

The girls' team solidly defeated Albertus Magnus, 15-9, in the first round with great play by Ellie Walsh (4 goals), Helen Wood (3 goals, 1 assist), and Mason Warble (3 goals, 1 assist). The No. 4 Broncos will face No. 8 Edgemont at home on Tuesday at 5:15 pm. Edgemont has been a tough competitor in the regular season. The Broncos tied the Panthers at the end of April and lost to the team in May.
