April 1, 2026: La Chitarra in Bronxville is becoming a go-to exceptional dining experience in Westchester that combines fresh pasta with over 100 bottles of wine from all over the world.
La Chitarra is located at 4a Cedar Street in Bronxville. Its phone number is 914-652-2591.
The co-owners, Randall Restiano and his Chef John Poiarkoff, are a winning combination serving a skillfully prepared menu with noteworthy wine.
You enter this cozy restaurant through the Bacione Pasta Shop into an intimate dining space with a small bar, a high ceiling, and an impressive display of wine. Randall is passionate and knowledgeable and will guide you to choose the perfect wine with your meal.
We started our dinner with local Burrata, served with aged prosciutto and roasted pears, grilled wild caught octopus with crispy potatoes, capers, olives, tomatoes, and grilled baby artichokes with mint, pecorino romano, and lemon.
This was followed by Pappardelle with Maine crab and lobster in a wonderful sauce of tomato, white wine, and tarragon, and Cavatelli in a creative ragu bianco of Amish beef and pork with pecorino, taleggio, and rosemary.
The bread served here is from Connecticut and truly is the best sourdough variety with a hint of salt. It is served alongside French butter and special olive oil. We also tasted the homemade Focaccia, which melts in your mouth.
Other main dishes offered include Roasted 1/2 Heritage Chicken, Montauk Tilefish, Crispy Risotto, Short Rib, and Bistecca for two. The portions of pasta and entrees are generous, and the service is remarkable.

For dessert, we had a divine blood orange Tiramisu with mascarpone and pistachio. Other choices include Olive Cake, Affogato Gelato, Cannoli, Sicilian Cassata, and Formaggi Piemontesi.
Wines by the glass or bottle include bubbly, white, rose, and red wines, beer, and cocktails. Prices are from $14-$16 per glass and $42-$64 per bottle.
When you leave, you can bring home fresh pasta and sauce from Bacione.
La Chitarra is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 3pm for lunch and 5pm to 10pm for dinner.
