Patsy’s Pizzeria in Bronxville Serves Five Varieties of Pizza and Much More!

Dec. 17, 2025: Patsy’s Pizzeria is the fourth street-level establishment to open on Parkway Road since the pandemic, the others being BXVL Coffeehouse/Whistling Rail, the boutique Rain, and the Tav’ery. The franchise’s owners—the Nicaj family—are enamored with this bustling block. The restaurant is located at 143 Parkway Road in Bronxville. 914-614-8920.
“We’re excited to help bring a new energy to this side of town,” Alec Nicaj said. “And Bob [Krause, owner of Mrs. Morgan’s Flower Shop next door] makes the whole block look gorgeous.”
The original Patsy's Pizzeria opened in East Harlem in 1933 and is considered to be one of the oldest pizzerias, along with Lombardi’s, Totonno’s, and John’s. Following the death of its founder, Pasquale "Patsy" Lanceri, the pizzeria changed owners and was franchised. The winning pizza recipe is what the Bronxville Patsy’s Pizzeria has in common with other Patsy’s locations.
But the Nicaj family brings its own finesse to the table (so to speak), based on an illustrious history in the restaurant and hospitality business. Gieto Nicaj, Alec’s father, is the co-owner of Masterpiece Caterers, which comprises both restaurant ownership and high-end catering services. Perhaps the group’s most notable credential is the acquisition of One if by Land, Two if by Sea—the romantic hotspot in Greenwich Village where many couples have gotten engaged. Gieto’s storied career also includes management positions at the Waldorf Astoria and the Plaza hotels.
This deep-rooted experience is brought to bear here in Bronxville. “[The restaurant] was designed by myself and my parents, pretty much from the ground up,” Alec said. “We had the oven custom-built. We spent a lot of time training the staff and perfecting the recipes. We spent easily a month practicing and cooking every day.” The executive chef at Patsy’s previously served as the sous chef at One if by Land.
Don’t let the name Patsy’s Pizzeria give you the impression that only pizza is served. There are five varieties of pizza listed on the menu (plus optional toppings that range from jalapenos to garlic chips), along with four salads, eight appetizers, six pastas, eight side dishes, and 13 entrees—all of which are specific to the Bronxville location.
The classy-yet-casual eatery is well-suited for any occasion, whether a low-key night of pizza and burgers, a date night over shrimp scampi and pan-seared branzino, or a foodie feast on Cowboy Ribeye Steak and squid-ink linguine with jumbo lump crabmeat, bomba calabrian chilies, and breadcrumbs. Takeout has also been popular.

Patsy’s is open seven days a week. The kitchen is open until 10:00, and the bar remains open till midnight. Reservations are available and can be made online via OpenTable.
