Total nighttime snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.

News Release from the Office of Westchester County Executive Jen Jenkins on 12/26 at 7:20PM

Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins declared a Local State of Emergency due to the winter storm impacting the County. Forecasts indicate the storm will bring heavy snowfall and hazardous conditions throughout the County.

Jenkins said: “Taking proactive action allows us to mobilize County resources quickly and effectively, protect public safety, and respond as conditions evolve.  We urge residents to avoid unnecessary travel, follow official guidance, and put safety first.”

Westchester County Department of Emergency Services, Department of Public Safety, and Department of Public Works and Transportation are actively coordinating storm response efforts. County officials will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as necessary.

We believe everyone can make a difference by adopting simple, sustainable practices in daily life so we can work together to protect what we love -- our families, our homes and our town.
