May 21, 2014: Pete is practically perfect in every way--great with children, totally housebroken, crate trained, and working diligently on mastering leash-walking skills.
More than anything, Pete is as gentle as can be. This 2 1/2-year-old dog is quite a mix: with the ears of a hound, the nose of a collie, and the body of a greyhound, Pete is the perfect blend of gracious and goofy--gracious in that his long legs carry him like a show pony when he runs, yet goofy because he is all kisses and cuddles.
For all of his size, Pete loves to snuggle and is still quite a puppy. He gets along wonderfully with the other dogs in the foster home as well as the ones he meets at the park. He is especially respectful of older dogs who may not have his energy.
Pete is a member of a group of dogs called sight hounds since he looks for things with his eyes as opposed to his nose. It is especially fun to watch him play with his toys.
This docile darling loves to romp and play in the yard and would love nothing more than to be part of a family and have a home to call his own.
Pete is in excellent health, and he has been neutered and is up to date with all of his vaccinations. His adoption donation is $250.
If you would like to meet Pete, please visit the Pet Rescue website at www.NY-PetRescue.org and fill out an application. Please remember to mention that you first saw him on the MyhometownBronxville website.
