Pet of the Week: Matisse

May 28, 2014:  Matisse is one silly tabby! Born in May of 2013, this funny guy just celebrated his first birthday but is still all kitten.

Matisse is always in the know. Slowly and quietly he likes to survey his surroundings, and once he has the lay of the land he begins to explore. Leaving no stone unturned, he may spend hours investigating every nook and cranny. We are not quite sure exactly what he is looking for, but his daily missions seem to keep him happy and occupied.

Matisse also finds humans fun to follow and very useful as warm places to sleep. Walk by and forget to pet him? Not likely--Matisse makes himself known with a loud purr to ensure he is acknowledged. He will even tilt his nose up for a kiss.

Matisse is a fierce hunter of toy mice and catnip Happy Socks. He is great with both cats and dogs and is tightly bonded with his brother, Rembrandt, who is also available for adoption. It would be a dream come true if this duo could stay together forever.

Both Matisse and Rembrandt are in excellent health and are up to date with their vaccinations. Their adoption donation is $80 each, which helps cover the cost of their daily and medical care.

If you would like more information or would like to meet these sweet kitties, please contact Larchmont Pet Rescue at 914-834-6955 or visit www.NY-Petrescue.org.
