Jun. 3, 2015: It was a beautiful fall day when a group of people enjoying a hike in the Poconos spotted movement along their path. Upon closer inspection they noticed a sweet little kitty looking up at them with pleading eyes. Mr. White was covered in dirt (he was not even a little bit white). The poor thing was missing some of his fur, he had a giant blood blister on his ear, and he had been forced to fend for himself without any front claws for protection.
He must have had an angel looking out for him, because it was truly a miracle that he had survived the Pocono wildlife as long as he had. The group agreed that there was no way they could leave him behind, and Mr. White happily went into their arms and allowed himself to be brought to safety.
Lo and behold, under all that dirt, Mr. White had fur as pure as the driven snow. He cleaned up beautifully, and when you look at him today, you would never know what hardships he suffered. All that remains of his struggles is one flipped-down ear where the unsightly blood blister once stood.
Now a dashing and handsome fellow, Mr. White is guessed to be a Turkish angora mix. He has one blue eye and one green eye, which both sparkle brightly in the sunlight. He is a gentle giant, tipping the scales at 14 pounds.
It is guessed that Mr. White was born around 2005. He was clearly once someone's pet, since he was neutered and declawed. How he ended up outside and alone is anyone's guess.
Today he resides in the safety of a foster home and dreams of an owner who will love him for the rest of his life. His foster mom believes that after everything he has been through, he would be happiest as an only pet.
Is Mr. White your Mr. Right?! If you would be interested in meeting this wonderful kitty, please contact his foster mom via email at This email address is being protected from spambots.
