Pet of the Week: Blake, a Senior-for-Senior Dog

May 16, 2018: Meet Blake! A sweet 11-year-old, 28-pound Muggin (pug/min pin mix) who loves everyone. He is a part of the seniors-for-seniors program and would make a great companion for someone who is looking for loyalty and unconditional love.
Blake enjoys just hanging out and sitting by your side getting belly rubs. He is wonderful with children, cats, and other dogs and has been well received by all of his foster siblings.
He is housebroken and loves to go for walks outside when the weather is nice but is also wee-wee pad trained for those days when you just don't feel like braving the elements.
Jenny's Hope Rescue believes that human seniors should have a companion close to their side. They also believe that senior dogs should have the final chapter of their lives be their best.
So many people pass up on senior dogs in animal shelters and this rescue group saves them, fully vets them, and then offers them to human seniors at no cost so they can spend the money on what they would have paid for an adoption fee on something they need.
