Junior League's Annual Trails to Treasures Shopping Event to Be Held Friday, May 9

Apr. 9, 2014:  The Junior League of Bronxville is excited to announce its annual Trails to Treasures shopping event, which will be held on Friday, May 9.

Trails to Treasures is a special event that gives select artisans and vendors the opportunity to feature their wares in luxurious private homes while raising money to support the Junior League of Bronxville. Since Trails to Treasures was created in 2002, it has become known as "the" shopping event in Bronxville.

"We're excited to bring Trails to Treasures back to the community this year. Our committee has worked hard to bring new vendors and unique merchandise to Trails, giving the event a fresh feel and providing our shoppers the opportunity to purchase exclusive items," said Dayle Bland, event co-chair.

Funds raised from Trails to Treasures support the Junior League of Bronxville's mission and community projects, which are focused on alleviating hunger and improving nutrition in Southern Westchester. The projects supported include Community Service Associates (CSA) in Mount Vernon, Kids in the Kitchen at Westhab, Enrich Me!, and Kraft Mobile Food Pantry.

In 2013, Trails to Treasures raised over $63,000 to benefit these worthy causes! The JLB is proud to have Houlihan Lawrence, Julia B. Fee/Sotheby's, Pepe Auto Group, and Brown & Brown of New York, Inc. dba The Rollins Agency as dedicated Trails sponsors once again this year!

As in years past, Trails to Treasures will start with a champagne welcome reception and check-in at the Bronxville Field Club from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. At the reception, Trails to Treasures guests will find out the location of the six gracious Bronxville homes that will be featured on the tour. Shopping will take place from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Tickets are $50 per person in advance and $60 if purchased at the event. Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.jlbronxville.org. Attendance is limited to adults and children over 12 as a courtesy to the homeowners.

The JLB has been an active and vocal women's volunteer organization in Southern Westchester since 1948. JLB members donate over 17,000 hours of community service annually and work with hosts of community programs and agencies.
