DAR to Hold Annual Scholarship Bridge Fundraiser this Friday, April 11

Apr. 9, 2014:  The Anne Hutchinson Chapter of the DAR will hold its annual scholarship bridge fundraiser on Friday, April 11, at The Reformed Church of Bronxville in the Edwards Room.

The event, which includes dessert and coffee, will run from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm. There will be a silent auction, white elephants, and a money hat.

The scholarship bridge fundraiser has been a tradition in the chapter for as long as anyone can remember. It serves to provide funds for scholarships for American history and good citizenship awards, patriotic medals, scholarships, and certificates. In addition, the funds help to support schools in the South that serve underprivileged children.

Last year, provisions were made to allow those attending to play games other than bridge.

The cost is $30 for a table of four or $8.00 per person. To reserve a table or to come as an individual, call Susan Bartlett at 203-866-6939 or Cindy at 914-771-9590.
