Apr. 13, 2016:  Plans for Gramatan Village's eighth annual May Magic Benefit at Siwanoy Country Club on Sunday, May 1, are well under way.

This year's co-chairs are Erin Krestinski and Alex Portner. Other committee members are Katie Krieg, Pippa Colvin, Susan Quinn DeJoy, and Jeannie Murrer.

The highlight of the afternoon will be the presentation of the J. Rockhill Gray Award to Marcia Lee and Sarah Thornton Clifford for their outstanding contribution to the Bronxville community. Marcia and Sarah are co-founders of the online newspaper MyhometownBronxville.com, which serves as a primary source of village, school, and community news about the Bronxville area. The weekly paper has over 10,000 visitors and 50,000 page views each month.

The wine-and-hors d'oeuvres reception, which runs from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, will feature mentalist Oz Pearlman, one of the busiest performing magicians in the country. Oz performs fun, upbeat shows that dazzle audiences with his world-class sleight-of-hand and mind-reading abilities. Since his performance at May Magic last year, Oz has gained national attention with his incredible and unforgettable appearance on America's Got Talent.

Gramatan Village is an organization that supports aging-in-community with a network of volunteers, community partnerships, and peer connections that enable members to stay independent.

"I became familiar with Gramatan Village through The Community Fund," said Krestinski. "The Community Fund opened my eyes to the need for this kind of organization for older community residents. I love that Gramatan Village provides resources and support to these individuals and their families."

Admission to the May Magic Benefit is $100 per person, of which $75 is tax deductible.

A generous donor will match dollar for dollar both new contributions and those increased over 2015 donations.
