May 12, 2021: The Friends of the Bronxville Public Library (FOBPL) is encouraging book clubs to read The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave, in preparation for a special conversation with the national bestselling author that will take place on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom.
The conversation will be moderated by Jonathan Tropper, an American screenwriter, novelist and producer, whose last two novels were New York Times best-sellers. He is the co-creator and executive producer of the Cinemax television series Banshee and the creator of the Cinemax television series Warrior.
Described as “a wry observer of modern love” (USA TODAY), Dave’s latest book, available May 4, weaves together a family drama about mothers and daughters, about the family you create and how we all have secrets we bury. In the novel, Hannah Hall’s husband goes missing and his boss is arrested, leaving Hall and her stepdaughter to piece together what happened.
“We are so happy to host Laura Dave,” said Rekha Waggoner, president of the FOBPL. “Reese Witherspoon has also selected The Last Thing He Told Me as her May book pick, and it will be a limited TV series for Apple, starring Julia Roberts.”
