Bronxville Police Blotter: October 8 to October 12, 2018

Oct. 17, 2018: The following entries are from the Bronxville police blotter.
October 8, 2018, 2:28 pm, Soccer and Rugby Imports, Pondfield Road: An employee reported that a Blue Nike jacket valued at $110 and a pair of Red Chelsea Football Club shorts valued at $65 were stolen by an unknown person. The incident is being investigated.
October 9, 2018, 7:30 pm, Paxton Avenue: A 21-year-old man of Yonkers was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree and Suspended Registration (both misdemeanors) after he was stopped because a vehicle-mounted license plate reader alarm indicated that the registration to the 2016 Jeep Cherokee he was operating had been suspended for an insurance lapse. The vehicle was impounded. The man was processed on scene and released pending his next court appearance.
October 10, 2018, 10:18 am, Citibank, Pondfield Road: Police responded to a report of a male inside the location attempting to cash a fraudulent check in the amount of $5,000 with a fake Pennsylvania driver’s license. The responding officer chased the suspect on foot. The suspect entered a getaway vehicle that was waiting on Park Place and took off while the officer was attempting to gain entry to the vehicle. Detectives were able to utilize village surveillance cameras to confirm the license plate number obtained by a responding officer and track the suspect to his mother’s residence in Mount Vernon. At 4:00 pm, a 19-year-old Mount Vernon male was charged with the following: Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 2nd Degree (d felony), Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3rd Degree (d felony, and Reckless Endangerment in the 1st Degree (d felony). The male was arraigned and transported to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. His next court appearance is on October 17 at 6:00 pm.
October 11, 2018, 10:39 am, Kensington Garage: A vehicle boot was affixed to a parked car for failure of payment of $350 is parking fines. The fines were satisfied at 4:03 pm and the vehicle was released to its owner.
October 12, 2018, 5:06 pm, Lawrence Hospital: Lawrence Hospital security requested assistance with two males who were causing a disturbance. The men left the area on their own accord prior to officers' arrival. No crime was committed.
October 12, 2018, 10:07 am, Soccer and Rugby Imports, Pondfield Road: Officers responded to a report that an employee recognized the male who had stolen items from the store on October 8, 2018, and that he was back inside the store. Officers interviewed the subject, who was cooperative. The investigation is pending.
October 12, 2018, 4:51 pm, CVS, Pondfield Road: Police responded to a 911 call of a larceny in progress. The store manager proved a license plate number. Officers stopped the vehicle on Pondfield Road. The driver, a 71-year-old female of Mount Vernon, was charged with Petit Larceny for stealing $77 in cosmetic products that were recovered on her person. She was processed and released on her own recognizance pending her next court appearance.
