Friday, October 12, 4:00 to 6:00 pm, Celebrate Sarah Lawrence. Sarah Lawrence College will present the second annual Celebrate Sarah Lawrence, a showcasing of student and faculty work, on Friday, October 12, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. The program will be held both inside and outside the Heimbold Visual Arts Center and will feature science demonstrations, dance, music, theater, writing performances and readings, and visual arts displays. There will be a holiday tag sale with Christmas ornaments, decorations, and more at The Bronxville Women's Club from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Sunday, October 14, Noon to 4:00 pm, Bronxville Chamber of Commerce Children's Halloween Festival. The Bronxville Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring a Halloween festival for children from noon to 4:00 pm at Leonard Morange Square with rides, activities, pony rides, live music, and food.
Sunday, October 14, 1:00 to 5:00 pm, Community Fund's 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament in Tuckahoe. The Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester, and Tuckahoe announced that it will be hosting its first-ever 3-on-3 basketball tournament for 8th- and 9th-graders on October 14 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at the Main Street Courts in Tuckahoe. It is open to open to all 8th- and 9th-graders who reside in, or go to a school in, Eastchester, Tuckahoe, or Bronxville. Sunday, October 14, 2:00 to 4:00 pm, Opening Reception for Art Exhibition at Bronxville Women's Club. There will be an opening reception for an art exhibition by C.J. Guerin titled A Point of View. There will be refreshments and music; the event is free and open to the public. Some items are for sale with proceeds going to animal rescue. Monday, October 15, 7:30 pm, Books & Coffee Discussion with Author Kate Moore, Concordia College. Kate Moore, the bestselling author of The Radium Girls, will be discussing her book at the October 15 Books & Coffee discussion at 7:30 pm at the Sommer Center for Worship and the Performing Arts on the campus of Concordia College.
