Pet of the Week: Dynamite

August 22, 2012: Dynamite is well-named--he is one dynamite dog!
This 2 year old, small breed, terrier- hound mix was found wandering the streets as a stray. He was taken to the New Rochelle Humane Society and has become a big hit with the staff.
Dynamite is friendly and playful. He loves people and other dogs and would do very well in a family situation. It is believed that he was definitely someone's pet, but, sadly, the shelter has given up waiting for his former owner to claim him and he is now available for adoption.
Dynamite has been attending training classes at the shelter and is definitely a quick study. This smart pup is learning his basic skills and is a polite and attentive student. He has surprised the volunteers and staff at the shelter by showing them that he can catch anything that is in mid-air. If he doesn't find his forever home soon, they tease, they are going to try and get him signed by the NY Yankees because he is a natural center fielder.
Dynamite is in excellent health, has been neutered, and is up to date with his vaccinations. He is more than ready to find a home and is hoping that his lucky day is coming soon.
If you would like to meet Dynamite or learn more about him, please call, email, or visit the shelter. (914) 632-2925 or pet
