Letter to the Community Endorsing Two Candidates in Democratic Primary on June 23, 2026

June 17, 2026

To the Community:

Bronxville Democratic Committee endorses Anthony Nicodemo and Tom DiNapoli in Democratic Primary June 23rd, early voting June 13-21st.

The Bronxville Democratic Committee endorses Anthony Nicodemo, Democrat for Westchester County Legislator, District 15.  Anthony Nicodemo is a proud 20-year resident of Yonkers, deeply committed to public service, education and community advocacy. A lifelong educator who has dedicated his career to teaching special education and social studies, he is also an athletic director and basketball coach. Anthony is the Vice Chair of Westchester County Democratic Committee, Executive Director for ED16-New York State United Teachers Board of Directors. If elected in November, Anthony’s focus will be dealing with the current affordability crisis, flood mitigation in the 15th district and improving infrastructure across the county. He has been endorsed by Senator Shelley Mayer, County Executive Ken Jenkins, Bronxville Village Trustees Bill Fredericks and Vanessa O’Friel.

Tom DiNapoli has earned another term as our State Comptroller. In his time in office, he has doubled the size of the pension fund, taken on big corporations to curb excessive CEO pay, and stood up to bullies like Elon Musk and Donald Trump. He's returned record levels of unclaimed funds to New York taxpayers, invested billions in affordable housing, invested in clean energy and put the pension fund on track to be carbon neutral by 2040. Tom has used New York's shareholder power to fight for women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and workers’ rights. He's audited and reported on nearly every State agency, local government, and policy initiative that exists in our state. And his office’s investigations into corruption have led to hundreds of arrests and millions of dollars returned to the taxpayers. Tom DiNapoli is truly the people's comptroller.

The Democratic Primary is Tuesday June 23rd, early voting June 13-21st, at Eastchester Library. On Primary Day, June 23rd, we will be voting in the Bronxville High School, Christchurch or Iona University depending on your district.

Bronxville Overview

Bronxville is a quaint village (one square mile) located just 16 miles north of midtown Manhattan (roughly 30 minutes on the train) and has a population of approximately 6,500. It is known as a premier community with an excellent public school (K-12) and easy access to Manhattan. Bronxville offers many amenities including an attractive business district, a hospital (Lawrence Hospital), public paddle and tennis courts, fine dining at local restaurants, two private country clubs and a community library.

While the earliest settlers of Bronxville date back to the first half of the 18th century, the history of the modern suburb of Bronxville began in 1890 when William Van Duzer Lawrence purchased a farm and commissioned the architect, William A. Bates, to design a planned community of houses for well-known artists and professionals that became a thriving art colony. This community, now called Lawrence Park, is listed on the National register of Historic Places and many of the homes still have artists’ studios. A neighborhood association within Lawrence Park called “The Hilltop Association” keeps this heritage alive with art shows and other events for neighbors.

Bronxville offers many charming neighborhoods as well as a variety of living options for residents including single family homes, town houses, cooperatives and condominiums. One of the chief benefits of living in “the village” is that your children can attend the Bronxville School.

The Bronxville postal zone (10708, known as “Bronxville PO”) includes the village of Bronxville as well as the Chester Heights section of Eastchester, parts of Tuckahoe and the Lawrence Park West, Cedar Knolls, Armour Villa and Longvale sections of Yonkers. Many of these areas have their own distinct character. For instance, the Armour Villa section has many historic homes and even has its own newsletter called “The Villa Voice” which reports on neighborhood news.
