April 9, 2025: Concordia Conservatory proudly marks the close of the 21st season of its esteemed Hoch Chamber Music Series by presenting Music of Innovation, on Saturday, April 26, at 7:00 PM at The Reformed Church of Bronxville (180 Pondfield Road) and on Sunday, April 27 at 3:00 pm The Second Congregational Church in Greenwich, CT (139 E. Putnam Avenue).
This exceptional evening of music brings together Grammy-winning bassist and jazz icon John Patitucci and renowned violist Lawrence Dutton alongside a distinguished ensemble of chamber musicians, including Violinists Elizabeth Lim-Dutton and Emanouil Manolov, cellist Andrew Janss and guitarist Steve Cardenas.
The program features Dvořák’s String Quintet No. 2 in G Major, Op. 77, alongside works by J.S. Bach, Glière, and Patitucci, bridging the worlds of classical and contemporary music.
This performance highlights the dynamic collaboration and musical artistry of Patitucci and Dutton, both of whom have made profound contributions to their respective genres. Patitucci, a three-time Grammy Award-winning jazz bassist is internationally acclaimed for his virtuosity and innovative artistry. Dutton, a nine-time Grammy-winning violist, longtime member of the legendary Emerson String Quartet, and artistic director of the Hoch Series, has been a powerful force in the world of chamber music for decades.
