Bronxville School Artwork on Display in Shop Windows for Spring into the Arts: See Photos!

March 12, 2025: The annual arts event and beloved community tradition, Spring into the Arts, is taking place now through Sunday, March 16.  During these two weeks, we are celebrating Bronxville student artists with art installations on display in shops throughout the Village.

The framed artwork was created by selected Bronxville School students and curated by the dedicated Bronxville School Art Department faculty.  Gracious members of the Bronxville Chamber of Commerce are displaying the artwork in their beautiful storefront windows.

This year’s festivities kicked off at The Picture House Bronxville on Monday, March 3 with an Opening Reception hosted by the Bronxville PTA Arts Council and an Open Mic Night hosted by the Bronxville High School Arts Society.

During this inspiring evening, we celebrated the Bronxville School’s fine arts students and teachers, admired beautiful artwork, and enjoyed community comradery, while indulging in delicious treats from a local baker, Authentic Sourdough by Stephanie.  Bronxville High School (BHS) student musicians provided background music, as members of the community mingled, and students from the BHS Art Club created a colorful mural with younger children.

Attendees of all ages also enjoyed Bronxville High School student performing artists during the Open Mic Night.  A short film directed and produced by a BHS sophomore was shown in Theater 1 followed by a terrific line up of student musicians, vocalists, and a band comprised of talented BHS seniors.  It was a night to remember!

Younger kids can continue to join in the fun with an “Art Scavenger Hunt” happening through March 16.  To participate, stop by Ovder or Framebridge to pick up the scavenger hunt and art stroll maps.  All children who finish the scavenger hunt can pick up a prize at Soccer and Rugby Imports.

Spring into the Arts is a collaboration between the Bronxville School Fine Arts Department, Bronxville Chamber of Commerce, Bronxville PTA Arts Council, and Bronxville High School Arts Society.

This special event started in 2020 to bring our Bronxville community together to recognize and celebrate the arts.  The entire community is invited to visit our Village shops to witness the talent and dedication of our amazing students and teachers and to enjoy some spring shopping!

Bronxville Public Library
Bronxville Public Library

The Bronxville Public Library traces its origins back to 1875, when it was a small lending library housed in a room attached to the “Bronxville Model School.” The Library was officially chartered in 1906 and moved into the Village Hall Building. The needs of the library grew with the town and, in 1942, a new standalone building was erected, which is where the Library is today. Over the years, the Library was renovated and expanded to meet the needs of the community.

The Library has wonderful resources for adults and children and offers a comfortable and relaxing environment. The Library also houses a fine art collection, consisting principally of Bronxville painters and sculptors.

The Library offers special events, art exhibitions, and programs for adults, young adults and children. All events are open to the public, unless otherwise indicated.
