March 13, 2024: Concordia Conservatory presents its UNIQUE show “Go Team Go!” on Saturday, March 16 at three locations: The Reformed Church of Bronxville at 10 am, Concordia Conservatory located at 884 Newfield Avenue in Stamford at 1 pm, and at the New Canaan Public Library at 3 pm.
The UNIQUE Series is an interactive music experience created for people with special needs/neurodiverse individuals. Music unites individuals, fostering teamwork as the ‘music team’ evolves from individuals to a unified force of creativity and shared experiences. The show is hosted by Tommy Schriber and performed by members of Orchestra Lumos: violinists Lisa Tipton and David Steinberg, violist Leslie Thompkins, and cellist Jackie Stern.
The show will engage audiences with elements of music therapy and family-friendly humor while making music accessible to individuals, families, and caregivers in an intimate concert setting across the three venues.
Concordia Conservatory’s Executive Director Kathleen Suss and Anthony Parce, Community Engagement and Education Manager for Orchestra Lumos, in partnership bring this truly “unique” live music experience for our neurodiverse community. Conservatory ambassadors for the UNIQUE Series are Kathleen Moriarty, Lilly Slaughter, and Ashton Turner.
Concordia Conservatory provides music and arts therapy to both group classes and private sessions. Currently, the Conservatory provides weekly creative arts therapy to 450 students ages 4 to 22 in the Stamford and Norwalk Public School Districts in Connecticut, as well as the Eastchester Public School District in New York.
UNIQUE concert tickets are $5 for children/seniors and $10 for adults. To purchase, visit www.concordiaconservatory.org or call 203-595-5059 or 914-395-4507.
