Polly Kerrigan Selected Social Worker of the Year
Written by Staff

Mar. 11, 2015: Bronxville resident Polly Kerrigan has been named Social Worker of the Year by the New York State Chapter, Westchester County Division, of the National Association of Social Workers. She will receive this award at the annual gala on March 26, 2015.
Polly started her career at the Roxbury (MA) Welfare Department after graduating from Newton College of the Sacred Heart. She relocated to New York shortly thereafter with her husband.
Later they moved to Bronxville on Willow Circle, where their two daughters, Amy and Kate, grew up.
In the words of her daughter Kate, "For many years, my mother has juggled the demands of her career as a social worker, as an active member of the Bronxville community, and as an incredible mother, wife, and--for the past decade--mother-in-law and grandmother with boundless energy, patience, humor, and grace. And, because I know how apt she is to shy away from the limelight, I felt compelled to share this terrific news."
