Inaugural Block Party on The Byway/The High Road Held June 7

Jun. 17, 2015: If you detected the scent of Westchester's famous Walter's hot dogs and curly fries around Bronxville last Sunday, June 7, you weren't imaging things! The new Walter's Hot Dogs truck made its Bronxville debut at the inaugural The Byway/The High Road block party that afternoon.
The block party, which welcomed over 90 residents and adjacent neighbors, featured fun for all ages, including a bounce house, face painting, a water balloon toss, a gourmet potluck dinner highlighted by Sara Marshall's famous "Aunt Peg's beans," and a signature summer cocktail for the adults designed by Michele McBride.
A celebrity guest appearance by Bronxville's very own Mayor Mary Marvin lent an official air to the casual event.
The festivities, spearheaded by Katherine Calvert of The High Road and organized by a group of neighbors, brought out four generations of Bronvillians--longtime Byway resident Jane Mitchell welcomed her great-grandchildren to the party, who have just moved to the village from the city.
