By Christopher Satriale, Chief of Bronxville Police
Sep. 28, 2016: The police department continues to investigate an attempted burglary that occurred on September 21 at about 8:55 am.
A female resident of Fordal Road reported that two males had rung her doorbell, which she did not answer. A short time later, she heard banging from the rear of her house, and when she looked out of her kitchen door, she observed a male trying to forcibly enter the home.
The male fled when he saw the homeowner, and a second male who was observed in her garage fled at the same time. Both males entered what was described as a long black sedan that was parked on Fordal Road.
The males were described as Hispanic or light-skinned black males wearing dark clothing.
The police department urges residents to lock and alarm their homes at all times and to respond to all persons ringing the doorbell. If you encounter a suspicious person at your door, contact the police department immediately.
