Nov. 8, 2017:  The entries below are selections from the Bronxville Police blotter.

Friday, Oct. 21, 5:20 pm, Midland Avenue: A 46-year-old man of Port Chester was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree after he was stopped for passing a red light on Midland Avenue. An inquiry on his license showed that his driving privileges had been suspended for a past DWI arrest. He was processed and released on $100 cash bail pending his next court appearance.

Friday, Oct. 21, 10:43 pm, Kraft Avenue: Police attempted to stop a vehicle that failed to comply after striking another vehicle and committing several traffic violations before fleeing. The incident is being investigated.

Saturday, Oct. 22, 1:16 am, Verizon store on Pondfield Road:  The Bronxville Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Verizon store on Pondfield Road at 1:16 pm. Bronxville police personnel responded to the location immediately and there were no injuries as a result of the crime. The immediate response and rapid review of our surveillance cameras allowed us to identify and locate a vehicle used to flee the scene. We have already identified several individuals who may be responsible for the crime. Be assured that the police department is actively and aggressively investigating this serious crime. This investigation includes assistance from the Westchester County Department of Public Safety, the New York City Police Department, and the Westchester County District Attorney's Office. While we are confident that this was an isolated incident, we have added walking patrols throughout the business district to further provide for a safe shopping experience. Saturday, Oct. 22, 4:36 pm, Lawrence Hospital: Police responded to numerous 911 calls of people stuck in an elevator at Lawrence Hospital. The Eastchester Fire Department under the command of Captain Pinto was able to open the elevator door. No injuries were reported.

Sunday, Oct. 23, 1:58 pm, Hobart Street: A woman was bitten on her left wrist by a German shepherd that had broken its leash and come running out of a yard. The woman was walking down the sidewalk with her dog. The owner of the shepherd was identified and provided all vaccination paperwork for the canine.

Sunday, Oct. 22, 5:00 pm, Valley Road: A stone wall belonging to a residence was damaged by unknown means while the homeowners were away. The incident is being investigated.

Thursday, Oct. 26, 7:05 pm, Pondfield Road: A black Priority bicycle valued at $550 was stolen from a bike rack. The bicycle lock had been cut off and left behind. The incident is being investigated.

Friday, Oct. 27, 8:59 am, Pondfield Road:  A Bronxville resident became irate with a parking enforcement officer after being issued a citation for parking with his rear wheels to the curb in an angled parking spot. Police officers responded and the man left the area of his own accord. No further police action was warranted.

Friday, Oct. 27, 10:22 am, ACME Cedar Street store: A Tuckahoe resident was asked to leave the establishment by police after he verbally berated an employee. The man was asked by management not to return.

Friday, Oct. 27, 9:31 pm, Pondfield Road: A female motorist who claimed to have been blinded by the headlights of oncoming traffic struck the steel column to the Metro-North train bridge causing her vehicle to catch fire. The fire was extinguished by the Eastchester Fire Department. A motor vehicle accident report was completed. No citations were issued. No injuries were reported.

Saturday, Oct. 28, 6:41 am, Crows Nest Road: A 2014 Kia was entered overnight. A wallet containing $400 and personal papers was stolen. The vehicle’s alarm was not activated and the car was unlocked.

Saturday, Oct. 28, 8:20 am, Normandy Road: A 1998 Lexus was entered overnight. $80 was stolen. The vehicle’s alarm was not activated and it was unlocked.

Saturday, Oct. 28, 7:29 pm, Parkway Road: An unknown male called an establishment and threatened to come “with a gun ... to shoot up the restaurant.” Police officers from Bronxville and Tuckahoe responded. The incident is being investigated by detectives.

Wednesday, Nov. 1, 5:00 pm, Pondfield Road: Graffiti was spray painted on a stone wall belonging to a residence. The graffiti consisted of two male Mars symbols joined in the circular region, and the statement “love is love” written below. The incident is being investigated.

Saturday, Nov. 3, 4:03 pm: An unknown female caller reported that her boyfriend was in Bronxville and that he was going to commit suicide and then she hung up the phone. Bronxville Police secured all bridges in the jurisdiction and the Metro-North train station. Yonkers and MTA Police were notified. The call was unfounded.
