Bronxville Police Blotter: January 2 to January 13, 2018

Jan. 17, 2018: The entries below are selections from the Bronxville Police blotter.
Tuesday, January 2, 5:55 pm, Lawrence Hospital: On Palmer Avenue, hospital security requested police assistance with a dispute between family members who were visiting a patient. Officers quelled the incident and completed a domestic incident report. No crime was committed.
Tuesday, January 2, 7:26 pm, Pondfield Road: A $1,300 Louis Vuitton tote bag was reported stolen from the front passenger seat of an unlocked vehicle. The incident is being investigated.
Wednesday, January 3, 8:50 am, White Plains Road: A 37-year-old man of Brooklyn was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree (misdemeanor) after he had been stopped for a broken stoplight and an inquiry revealed that his driving privileges were suspended for failing to answer a summons issued in the Village of Tuckahoe. The man was also cited for having tinted windows and improper plates. He was processed on scene and released pending his next court appearance.
Sunday, January 7, 2:59 pm, Courseview Road: A woman reported that while sitting inside her parked vehicle on Palmer Avenue she was sideswiped by a passing Volkswagen. Using village surveillance cameras, officers were able to obtain the license plate of the vehicle and identify the driver. The 25-year-old female driver from Yonkers was located at her residence and issued a summons for Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident.
Monday, January 8, 3:26 pm, Pondfield Road: A homeowner reported footprints and yellow discolored snow outside a window to her residence. Officers canvassed the area and no crime appeared to have been committed at this time.
Wednesday, January 10, 2:55 pm, Pondfield Road: Officers responded to a report of an injured hawk and were able to corral the bird of prey into a cardboard box. A licensed local wildlife rehabilitator responded to the scene and transported the hawk to a wildlife rehab center in Yonkers.
Friday, January 12, 12:29 pm, Pondfield Road: A 52-year-old Scarsdale woman sat in the middle of the Citibank floor screaming and refusing to leave because she was unable to cash a check. Officers arrived and de-escalated the situation. The woman left the bank of her own accord; no crime was committed.
Saturday, January 13, 12:45 pm, Palmer Avenue: Bronxville Police observed a woman sitting inside her vehicle yelling to herself. Officers interviewed the woman, who appeared to just be having a bad day and was not in need of medical attention. The woman left the area of her own accord.
