Feb. 14, 2018: On behalf of the Eastchester Irish American Social Club and as president of the Eastchester Historical Society, I would like to proudly announce that the grand marshal for the 14th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will be our own Eastchester Historical Society vice president, Sheila Marcotte.
The grand marshal installation and St. Patrick's Day Gala will be held at the Greentree Country Club in New Rochelle on Saturday, March 3, from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. An unlimited number of guests of the Eastchester Irish American Social Club members may attend this year.
It is not too late to join. Memberships begin at $20 per year! Gala RSVP (you can pay online) and membership information can be found at www.eastchesterirish.org. Gala is under "Events" and membership is under "Membership."
You may also wish to sponsor a virtual journal ad to congratulate Sheila Marcotte. Information can be found at www.eastchesterirish.org under "Journal Sponsorship."
The Eastchester St. Patrick's Day Parade will be held on Sunday, March 11, and starts off at 3:00 pm from Immaculate Conception Church.
The day begins with Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:00 am featuring vocals by Cathy Maguire of County Louth Ireland (who was invited by Cardinal Dolan to sing at St. Patrick's Cathedral last year), with breakfast to follow. All are welcome.
