Feb. 28, 2018: The entries below are selections from the Bronxville Police blotter.
Monday, February 19, 7:45 am, Crows Nest Road: A 63-year-old man from Yonkers was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree after he was stopped for an inadequate brake light and an inquiry revealed that his license had been suspended for failing to answer a summons in Bronx County. The 2002 Jeep he was operating was impounded and he was processed and released on scene pending his next court appearance.
Monday, February 19, 10:20 am, Pondfield Road: Officers responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident on Pondfield Road at the corner of Cedar Street. One vehicle was deemed inoperable and had to be towed away for repairs. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Lawrence Hospital via ambulance for complaints of neck and stomach pain.
Monday, February 19, 10:21 am, Park Place: There was a two-car motor vehicle accident; there were no injuries, and the officer completed an information exchange.
Monday, February 19, 1:10 pm, Avon Road: There was a two-car motor vehicle accident; there were no injuries, and the officer completed an information exchange.
Tuesday, February 20, 2:40 pm, Pondfield Road: A Bronxville parking enforcement agent requested officer assistance with a verbal disagreement with a motorist. Officers were able to quell the disagreement and a summons was issued for No Standing in Front of a Fire Hydrant.
Friday, February 23, 10:50 am, Midland Gardens: A senior citizen resident was a victim of a phone scam. The resident stated that they had sent $2,400 in money orders to an address in Texas but could not remember the stated reason for the payment.
Sunday, February 25, 11:15 am: Officers responded to a verbal disagreement between family members. A domestic incident report was completed.
