Halloween falls on Saturday, October 31. Drivers and trick-or-treaters are encouraged to take extra precautions as families travel throughout the Village. Cross streets at crosswalks whenever possible, keep phones and other distractions put away while walking, and make eye contact with drivers before entering the roadway. Children under age 12 should be accompanied by an adult, while older children should travel in groups and share their planned route with a parent or guardian. Drivers should reduce their speed and watch carefully for children entering the roadway between parked vehicles.
