The following notice regarding smoking and vaping was sent by the Village of Bronxville today June 17th at 12:39PM.

Effective immediately, smoking and vaping are prohibited in all permitted outdoor dining areas within the Village of Bronxville. This measure is part of the Village's ongoing effort to maintain a healthy, safe, and clean outdoor dining experience for residents, patrons, employees, and visitors. This new requirement applies to both sidewalk and on-street dining areas and is now a condition of every outdoor dining permit issued by the Village.

Businesses participating in the outdoor dining program are required to enforce this condition in accordance with New York State Public Health Law. If you have any questions or observe smoking or vaping in an outdoor dining area, please contact the Village Building Department at (914) 337-7338.

Ongoing: The Eastchester, Bronxville, and Tuckahoe 250th National Anniversary Committee has been formed to bring the three communities together to plan events and celebrations throughout the year in honor of the nation’s 250th anniversary. June 18, 5:30PM: Car Show and Summer Concert on Parkway Road in Bronxville.  Will include a display of vintage, antique, and specialty vehicles, and a live performance by Ace & Friends, a Grateful Dead tribute band. Admission is free, and all are welcome to join in this community celebration.

June 29, 2026: Sign up for Eastchester Golf Outing and Community Dinner.  Proceeds will be used to help fund benefit Eastchester's 250th Anniversary Celebration.  Click here to sign up for the golf outing.

June 30, 2026: Property Tax Payment Due. The first half of the 2026–2027 Village/School Property Tax bill is due by June 30 to avoid a penalty. Payments must be received or postmarked no later than June 30 to be considered on time. Any payments submitted after that date will incur a late fee. Click here to pay your taxes online.
 
July 11, 2026: America's Birthday Parade.

Join the Eastchester, Bronxville, and Tuckahoe 250th Anniversary Committee for America’s Birthday Parade on Saturday, July 11, celebrating our nation’s 250th anniversary.

The parade will step off at 11 AM from Immaculate Conception School and conclude at Lake Isle Country Club, where festivities will continue with a community barbecue, live music, and a reading of the Declaration of Independence.

Eastchester Launches “Great Flag-Enger Hunt”: As part of America 250 celebrations, residents are invited to search their homes, attics, and basements for historic American flags that may have a story to tell. July 13, 2026, 1PM to 5PM: Bronxville Community Blood Drive: The American Red Cross will host a community blood drive on Monday, July 13, from 1 PM to 5 PM at the Reformed Church Gym, 180 Pondfield Road. A single blood donation can help save multiple lives. Residents are encouraged to consider donating and supporting this important community effort. Bronxville Overview

Bronxville is a quaint village (one square mile) located just 16 miles north of midtown Manhattan (roughly 30 minutes on the train) and has a population of approximately 6,500. It is known as a premier community with an excellent public school (K-12) and easy access to Manhattan. Bronxville offers many amenities including an attractive business district, a hospital (Lawrence Hospital), public paddle and tennis courts, fine dining at local restaurants, two private country clubs and a community library.

While the earliest settlers of Bronxville date back to the first half of the 18th century, the history of the modern suburb of Bronxville began in 1890 when William Van Duzer Lawrence purchased a farm and commissioned the architect, William A. Bates, to design a planned community of houses for well-known artists and professionals that became a thriving art colony. This community, now called Lawrence Park, is listed on the National register of Historic Places and many of the homes still have artists’ studios. A neighborhood association within Lawrence Park called “The Hilltop Association” keeps this heritage alive with art shows and other events for neighbors.

Bronxville offers many charming neighborhoods as well as a variety of living options for residents including single family homes, town houses, cooperatives and condominiums. One of the chief benefits of living in “the village” is that your children can attend the Bronxville School.

The Bronxville postal zone (10708, known as “Bronxville PO”) includes the village of Bronxville as well as the Chester Heights section of Eastchester, parts of Tuckahoe and the Lawrence Park West, Cedar Knolls, Armour Villa and Longvale sections of Yonkers. Many of these areas have their own distinct character. For instance, the Armour Villa section has many historic homes and even has its own newsletter called “The Villa Voice” which reports on neighborhood news.
