June 29, 2011: Members of the Bronxville High School Class of 2011 have sent their acceptances to colleges and universities ... and will be using the summer months to get ready to matriculate next fall.

Among the Ivy League colleges students will be attending are Harvard (3), Yale (1), Dartmouth (1), Columbia (2), Cornell (1), and UPenn (1). Other universities and liberal arts colleges include Barnard (1), Georgetown (3), Middlebury (1), Smith (1), University of Virginia (1), Vassar (1), and Wellesley (1).

Noteworthy about the Class of 2011, however, is the number of students attending top-ranked colleges in the Midwest and on the West Coast. Included among them are Northwestern (2), Notre Dame (1), University of Michigan (1), USC (3), Berkeley (1), and University of Chicago (1).

Members of the senior class began the formal "post- high-school process" last year under the supervision of the Bronxville School guidance department, headed by Anne Abbatecola, with students having several group and individual meetings throughout the year with guidance counselors.

They continued to work with guidance counselors during the application period, through making their final choices, responding to the colleges, and sending deposits by May 1.

Below is the list of the colleges and universities that Bronxville students have accepted.
