June 1, 2026: This year, the Bronxville School Foundation distributed $562,373 in grants to enrich the educational experience for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Funded through the generosity of our community, these grants support a broad range of initiatives built to inspire growth, spark innovation, and deepen learning across the school.
Grant proposals came from every corner of the Bronxville School community: teachers, administrators, parents, coaches, and students alike. The projects funded this year reflect the aspirations of The Bronxville Promise, touching on classroom enhancements, new curriculum development, professional development, health and wellness programming, and new equipment.
The Foundation is proud to report that Community Drive contributions exceeded $400,000 in 2026, a testament to the remarkable generosity of our donors. Additional support came through the Alumni Drive, Katie’s Run, and designated funds spanning Athletics, Elementary School ELA, Performing Arts, History, Science, and Special Education. Together, these contributions make the Foundation’s work possible — and the impact felt in every classroom.
Carrie Long, Vice President of Grants for the Foundation, shared her appreciation, saying, “We are incredibly fortunate to be part of a school community that includes supportive parents, dedicated teachers, and engaged administrators. Their collaborative efforts ensure that the Bronxville Promise thrives. The Foundation is deeply grateful for the continued generosity of our donors, whose contributions have made it possible for us to fund 36 grants this year. These grants support a variety of important projects, from the Civil Discourse and Media Literacy to the Elementary School Sensory Room, and from We-saw Playground Equipment Installation to Responsive Classroom Training for Elementary School Teachers. The breadth of these initiatives demonstrates the diversity of ideas and needs within our community, and we are thrilled to see them come to life.”
Amy Atkeson, Chair of the Foundation, added, “Since its founding, the Bronxville School Foundation has invested more than $14 million in our students and schools, a legacy that has touched every child in the district. We are deeply grateful to the donors and grant writers whose ongoing commitment makes this possible, and whose generosity continues to strengthen the tradition of excellence that has always defined the Bronxville School.”
