Adele Murray and Dr. Mary Giuffra Nominated by Bronxville Non-Partisan Committee as Candidates for School Board

Apr. 9, 2014: The Bronxville Committee for the Non-Partisan Nomination and Election of School Trustees ("NPC") has nominated two candidates for trustee of the Bronxville Board of Education, Dr. Mary Giuffra and Adele Murray. If elected in the May 20 school budget and school board trustee election, they will fill the seats of outgoing school trustees Pierre de Saint Phalle and Dr. James Hudson.
A reception to meet the candidates will be held on Wednesday, April 30, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Bronxville Field Club. Bronxville residents are urged to attend this informal gathering, where the two candidates will be available to answer questions from the community.
In commenting about the candidates, NPC chair Anne Cox said, "The NPC was very pleased with the high caliber of the applications we received. Our deliberations were thorough, and we feel confident our nominees will complement the skills of the current board and serve the school and the community well."
A biography of each of the candidates is set forth below.

About the NPC
The NPC was formed in 1936 to foster the election of trustees of The Bronxville School on a non-partisan basis. The NPC, which consists of three elected representatives from each of Bronxville's seven election districts, solicits qualified residents who are interested in serving as school trustee and nominates a slate of candidates to run in the school district election each May. The NPC is a volunteer organization. Its modest budget is underwritten entirely by public donations. Thank you for your support.
