Dec. 11, 2024: Athletes, coaches, and parents gathered in the High School Auditorium in late November to celebrate the success of the Bronxville High School sports teams. Athletic Council Co-Presidents Davis Patterson and Maddy Williams hosted the event and introduced the athletic teams.
The Bronxville athletes were determined and dedicated this fall as demonstrated by their combined successes at the league, sectional and state level.
The girls’ soccer team won the Class B Sectional Championship and finished as the Class B New York State runner-up after falling 3-0 to Marcellus in the state final.
The Class C boys’ cross country team won sectionals and placed first overall at the Westchester County Championship for schools of all sizes. At the New York State Cross Country Championships, the boys team finished 2nd, and the girls’ team placed 3rd.
Finally, swimmer Fiona Barr competed at the New York State Championships in the 100Y fly and 100Y back, placing 23rd in the fly.
The football team had an undefeated regular season but suffered their first loss to Ardsley in the Class B Sectional Semifinals. Matthew McSherry was named Class B Offensive Player of the Year and Offensive Lineman of the Year, and Davis Patterson was named Class B Offensive Back of the Year.
