Bronxville Football Takes on Pleasantville on Friday in Season Opener: See Bronxville Teams Scores and Schedules

Sept 11, 2024: Many of the Bronxville teams played away last week, but this week most of the teams return to their home turf for multiple games. On Saturday, boys’ and girls’ soccer teams will host the Broncofest starting at 12:30, and the field hockey team will be playing three home games in the upcoming week against Croton-Harmon, Scarsdale, and Ursuline.

The Bronxville football team, the 2023 Class C Section 1 Champion, moved up to Class B this fall and will play their season opener against rival Pleasantville at 6PM on Friday at Parkway Field. Pleasantville has been the Class B team to beat for several years, and when the two teams last met in 2022, Bronxville lost 21-14 in overtime.

With nine returning starters on offense and defense, the Broncos are expected to have a strong season. In LoHud’s Preseason Section 1 Rankings, Bronxville is ranked No. 1 in Class B and No. 10 in the Power Rankings, which includes public schools of all sizes. There are 15 teams in Class B this year including Pearl River, ranked No. 2 by LoHud, Ardsley (No. 3), Pleasantville (No. 4), and Pelham (No. 5).

The football team is loaded with talent including the players named to Lohud’s Watch list (see below). Junior Walker Moore was named to LoHud’s Section 1 Super 11 Team, which recognizes the top 11 football players in Westchester, Rockland, and Putnam Counties.
