June 4, 2025: The following are selected entries from the May 2025 Bronxville police blotter:
May 8, 2025, 9:10: Bronxville Police Officer reports that he is on a vehicle stop on Midland Avenue and Tanglewylde Avenue with a vehicle bearing a New York registration. An ejustice inquiry reveals that both the vehicle and operator name are valid. The Officer reports that the vehicle is traveling at 51 per hour in a posted 20 mph school zone on Midland Avenue between Pondfield Road and Hawthorne Road and is operating in an unsafe and reckless manner by the driver. The Officer issues the driver the following summons, all returnable to the Bronxville Justice Court.

May 10, 2025, 10:31: A telephone call is received from an individual at Citibank to report that a person is attempting to make a withdrawal from an account using a fraudulent check. The caller describes the person as a black male wearing a red sweatsuit. Two Bronxville police officers go to the scene and call back to advise that the male left the bank and is currently walking on Pondfield Road in the area of the Post Office. A check on village cameras reveals that the suspect is walking on Pondfield Road across the street from the Post Office. The suspect then walks out of camera view and does not appear on the next camera, indicating that there may have been a vehicle parked in a blind spot. A Bronxville police officer reports after speaking to Citibank staff that the teller became suspicious of the transaction due to the fact that the suspect was attempting to withdraw funds against a check in a female's name on an account opened online a day prior. The check was in the amount of $5,605.92.
May 12, 2025, 3:57: A report was received over the Zello radio about a black BMW bearing a Florida registration that is showing as stolen, repossessed, and fled a traffic stop in the 47th Precient, and was last seen traveling north on Bronx River Road in the area of Midland Avenue. A Bronxville officer reports that he is behind that vehicle on Pondfield Road in the area of Studio Arcade. Another officer is advised and will be responding to the area to assist. The first officer states that when he attempted to stop the vehicle, it fled at a high rate of speed around the west side circle and south onto Parkway Road. The Officer states that the vehicle made a right onto Midland Avenue, and at that time, the Officer lost sight of it. RTC was advised, and information was forwarded to NYPD operations.
At 0406 hours, the Westchester County Police Department reports that a vehicle is stopped at Bronx River Road, and the New York Police Department Highway 1 is on the scene. The operator is detailed by New York Police Department 47 Precinct.
May 29, 2025, 19:24: A Bronxville Officer reports he is on a vehicle stop at Pondfield Road and Valley Road of a car with a North Carolina plate for a male wanted in connection with a larceny of an e-bike. The Officer reports that the operator was placed into custody.
1943 hours: A Bronxville Officer transports the operator to police headquarters.
1950 hours: County Towing tows the North Carolina vehicle to police headquarters.
1954 hours: A Bronxville Detective interviewed the operator of the vehicle.
2235 hours: County Towing removed the vehicle from police headquarters to the County Tow yard.
2240 hours: The operator was processed for arrest for violating New York State Penal Law 155.30, Grand Larceny on 5/20/25, and for attempted New York State Penal Law 155.30 on 5/28/25. The operator was released with an appearance ticket and is to return to the Village of Bronxville Justice Court on 6/18/25 at 1800 hours.
May 30, 2025, 14:15: A call is received from an employee of the Reformed Church stating that a female party was attempting to enter the School. Two Bronxville Police Officers are dispatched to the location. One of the Officers advised that he had an eye on the female party and that she is walking into the police station. A Bronxville Sergeant meets with the female, and a Bronxville Police Officer is present to assist in processing the arrest.

A homeowner reported a suspicious vehicle parked in front of their residence. Officers responded and discovered that the vehicle was reported stolen from the City of Mt Vernon. The vehicle was impounded and the owner was notified.
11/13/2021 01:10 pm Kraft
A female store employee reported that she was uncomfortable with an interaction with a customer and believed that he may become dangerous in the future. A report was filed.

Activated alarm at United Bank. Officers responded and all was in order.
