Sept. 28, 2026: Laura McLearn Stichter-Bryson passed away peacefully on September 3rd, 2026 at the age of 92. Born in Cleveland, Ohio to Mildred (Adams) and Frank McLearn, Laura was a life long resident of Bronxville. She was an active member of the Bronxville Class of 1952 and maintained strong life long friendships with her classmates. She graduated from Northwestern University in 1956 where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

Laura was passionate about Bronxville and firmly believed it was the only place to live. This was reflected in her career of over 41 years as a Real Estate Broker. Associated with Houlihan Lawrence, she was a Top 10 producer for the company in all but one year, and earned Top Producer company-wide on four separate occasions. She felt strongly that it was a privilege to introduce new people to Bronxville, and always strove to find the perfect home for her clients’ needs. Laura was an active member of the Bronxville community serving in the Junior League, Non-Partisan Committee, Bronxville Beautification Council and a member of The Reformed Church.

Her passion for Bronxville and her career was only surpassed by her love and commitment to her family. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother, and there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do to help. Affectionatlely known as MomMom, family was everything to her and she was fully invested in everyones’ wellbeing. Previously married to John Stichter, she married Michael Bryson, the love of her life, in 1998, and together they successfully merged two families of adult children. They enjoyed extensive travel throughout the world, and shared their experiences enthusiastically. However, their greatest joy was being surrounded by family and watching us all become friends and support each other.

Laura is survived by her brother Michael (Kathryn) McLearn, children Laurie Patterson, John (Mary) and David Stichter, Scott (Denise), David (Laura), John, and Daniel (Michelle) Bryson, 14 grandchildren Rob, Max (Katy), Sarah, Molly (Connor), Eliza, Madigan, Maye, Malin, Lizzie, Erica (Jake), Stuart (Hannah), Jeffrey (Corinne), Annie and Addie, 5 great grandchildren Owen, Finn, McKenna, Eloise and Acer, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at The Reformed Church of Bronxville on Friday October 9th at 11 am. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Bronxville Beautification Council.
