Apr. 29, 2015: Nadia Zaman Barron of Bronxville passed away on April 19, 2015. She was 45.
Born on January 26, 1970, in Karachi, Pakistan, Nadia spent her childhood in Pakistan, London, and Abu Dhabi. She was educated in London and Abu Dhabi and received degrees in French and Political Science from Albright College in Pennsylvania.
Upon graduating from Albright, Nadia returned to Abu Dhabi, where she met her husband, Miguel Barron. They were married in 1995 and spent the next 20 years living in London, Madrid, New York City, Miami, and Bronxville.
Nadia was an accomplished cook and writer who was fluent in four languages. She was known for her warmth, passion, and quick wit and for being a fiercely loyal friend. Her passions included family, travel, good food, tennis, and Real Madrid Football. The true loves of her life were her husband and her two boys, Ivan and Luca.
Nadia is survived by her husband, Miguel, her sons, Ivan and Luca, and her mother, Azra Azad.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Bronxville Field Club on May 1 from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. All are welcome.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation at Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation.
