Bronxville Native Phyllis Sharp Dies Sunday, November 15, 2015; Memorial Service Saturday, November 21

Nov. 18, 2015:  Bronxville native and longtime resident Phyllis Sharp died on Sunday, November 15, 2015.

She was the wife of Don Sharp and mother of John. She grew up in Bronxville and attended The Bronxville School; she graduated from Denison University.

Phyllis was a lifelong Democrat and past chair of the Bronxville Democratic Committee. She was campaign chair of Don's election as a Village of Bronxville trustee, the fourth Democrat elected in the village. She served many years as chair of the Columbia College Parents Committee.

Phyllis was a devoted member of the Bronxville High School Class of '48, keeping track of the class and hosting many reunion gatherings at her home, including the record-breaking 65th reunion with a special trolley ride around the village.

She was a lover of cats from her childhood to her current favorite, Kerry.

A memorial service will be held at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home at 20 Cedar Street in Bronxville on Saturday, November 21, at 1:30 pm.
