May 25, 2011: Teddy Bear is a super-sized bundle of fun. He is a 5-year-old male cat who weighs over 15 pounds (on a skinny day).
Teddy Bear has a reputation among the other kitties in his foster home as being the one who is always up for a game. He is sweet, cuddly, and very outgoing. He loves to play with the other cats and would do best in a home that has another cat who also likes to play or has a single kitty.
Poor Teddy was found as a stray. It is believed he was once somebody's pet since he had already been neutered when he was rescued. This fellow is lucky to be alive since he has a very submissive personality and had to brave the big bad street fighting for survival all winter long.
Thankfully, he managed to stay positive through his trials and tribulations and is now hopeful that the perfect home will come along for him.
If you are looking for a great cat who is full of affection and who will curl up right next to you for a snuggle, then Teddy Bear is your guy.

The adoption fee for Teddy Bear is $100 to help cover the cost of his medical and foster care.
Pet Adoption Fair
Also, don't forget to join us this Saturday, May 28, for the annual Bronxville Memorial Day Pet Adoption Fair. From 10:15 am to 1:30 pm, puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats will be available for adoption under the elementary school canopy (rain or shine). Local rescue group Pet Rescue will be bringing more than 30 animals to the school with the hope of finding them wonderful and loving homes.
If you are considering adopting a dog, please fill out an application prior to the event. All dog applications require approval, and pre-approved applicants will be able to take home their new dog or puppy the day of the event. Cat adoptions do not require pre-approval.
To see a preview of some of the dogs and cats who will be attending the event, visit the Pet Rescue website, www.ny-petrescue.org. The website is constantly changing, so please check it regularly before the big day. You will also find the dog applications on this website. To expedite the approval process, please note on the application that you will be attending the Bronxville event. The requested donation for dogs is $250 to $350 and for cats is $75 to $100.
Bronxville-based non-profit Shelter Pet Alliance will also be there with a humane education table and will be available to answer any questions you may have about different volunteering or fostering opportunities. They will also be collecting donations for local animal shelters.
