Pet of the Week: Melissa
Apr. 9, 2014: Melissa is a very sweet, beautiful, and young eight-month old tabby.
She may only have one eye, but lovely Melissa will see right into your soul. She is a happy and playful kitten who has absolutely no idea that she is anything but normal. She does everything that a young and healthy kitten should be doing, and the loss of her eye has had no effect on her wonderful and frisky personality.
Melissa will cuddle up next to you wherever you are and be a source of comfort after a long, hard day. Her gentle nature will help to relieve your stress and provide loving companionship. And all of this will come with the satisfaction of knowing that you will have saved a sweet kitty who, through no fault of her own, is just a little bit different from all the other kittens.
She is currently in foster care, where she gets along beautifully with the cats and dogs with whom she is living.
