Jul. 16, 2014: Cotton is the most adorable little toy poodle you will ever meet. At only six pounds, she is the perfect companion to tote along in a bag or purse.
When Cotton's owner was moved to a nursing home and could not bring her along, darling Cotton was surrendered to a local rescue group. According to her foster parents, "Cotton is truly a delight and too sweet for words." She is housebroken or can use wee wee pads if her new owner prefers. She loves going for rides in the car and gets along well with other dogs and cats. Cotton is also quite clever and will do a lovely "dinner dance" for you when she is ready for her meals.
This well-mannered and easy-to-handle dog is ten years young. It is believed she will do best in an adult home where she can hang out and provide companionship to her new owner.
She takes thyroid medicine with her food and is otherwise in excellent health. She has been spayed, and she is up to date with all of her vaccinations. Her adoption donation is $250.
If you would like to meet Cotton, please visit the Pet Rescue website at www.NY-PetRescue.org and fill out an application. Pet Rescue requests that applications be completed before introductions to the dogs are made. If you mention that you learned about Cotton through MyhometownBronxville, it will help expedite the adoption process.
If you are not ready to adopt, Pet Rescue is always looking for foster families. Puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats of all breeds, sizes, and ages are available for fostering. Pet Rescue provides all of the necessary supplies and veterinary care. All you need to do is open your heart and your home to these amazing furry friends.
